Hay escultores que consiguen sublimizar todo ese proceso que es preciso para llegar a crear formas, para llegar a expresar poesías o realidades a través del volumen. Toby Goban pertenecería, así, a esa nómina de artistas que logran silenciar el proceso, es decir, convertir en algo completamente silencioso el método para permitir y dejar surgir las formas. Tratamos de definir, así, un estilo de escultor que parte de un lenguaje notablemente sutil, sirviéndose, además, de una materia que adopta un constante y limpio abrazo con las formas: un abrazo que proviene no solo de la ausencia de rupturas, de artistas, sino también – y especialmente- gracias a esa permanente dimensión circular que nos transmiten gran parte de sus piezas, probablemente simbolizando un cálido núcleo, de un origen especial y de un mágico punto de partida que tiene mucho que ver con la naturaleza.

There are sculptors who attain to sublime all this process that is precise to manage to create forms, to reach to express poems or realities across the volume. Toby Goban would belong, this way, to this artists' list that they achieve to silence the process, in other words, to turn into something completely silent the method so it will allow and let to arise the forms. We try to define, this way, a sculptor's style that departs from a notably subtle language, being served, in addition, by a matter that adopts a constant and clean embrace with the forms: an embrace that comes not only from the absence of breaks, from artists, but also - and specially - thanks to this permanent circular dimension that transmit us a great part of his pieces, probably symbolizing a warm nucleus, of a special origin and of a magic starting point that has to do with the nature.
